Warren County Parole and Probation
Parole and probation both place a person in the community under rules, but they begin in different ways. The Tennessee Board of Parole decides parole grants, denials, revocations, and rescissions. Tennessee Department of Correction Community Supervision then supervises a person released on parole. Felony probation comes from a court sentence and is also supervised by TDOC. A person may serve probation instead of prison, or after a period of split confinement. Local misdemeanor probation is not guaranteed to appear in TDOC’s statewide system.
Mandatory reentry supervision is a third path, not another name for parole. Under Tenn. Code Ann. § 40-35-506, some qualifying felony sentences can include a final supervised portion or supervision after sentence expiration. The offense date, judgment, and status shown by the responsible agency control. This matters in Warren County because a person can be out of a cell yet remain subject to correctional supervision.

Verify Warren County Post-Release Supervision

Search by TDOC number or State ID Number when possible, since a numeric identifier is more reliable than a name alone. A name search can use first name, last name, race, and matching aliases. The search also requires a visual or audio challenge.
FOIL can show Current Status such as Parole, Probation, Incarcerated, or Inactive. Read that label with Assigned Location, sentence dates, supervision level, active sentences, hearing date, and hearing result. “Probation” confirms a state supervision status but does not reveal the precise Warren County Jail release time. “Inactive” may mean the state case is no longer active, but it does not clear a warrant or prove how local custody ended.

Warren County Supervision Office
TDOC District 31 is the official field office for Warren and Van Buren Counties. It is the practical contact when FOIL shows parole or felony probation but does not make the correct reporting office clear. TDOC also states that a person placed on probation or released from split confinement must report within 48 hours of placement or release. That is a state reporting rule, not a public promise about when a Warren County release will finish processing.

Warren County Parole Hearing Records
A hearing date is one step in the parole process. The Tennessee Board of Parole publishes weekly hearing schedules and updates them each Monday, or Tuesday after a Monday holiday. Schedules can change. Starting July 1, 2025, certain county-jail hearings permit virtual public attendance through BP Form 0280 when the facility is offered. A schedule entry shows that a matter is set, not that release was granted.
Hearing officers make recommendations, while Board members adopt, change, or reject them. Results can include grant, denial, continuation, revocation, reinstatement, or rescission depending on the hearing type. Warren County Supervision Violations
Supervision conditions are set by the controlling court, parole certificate, and TDOC. The actual signed conditions must be read before making a claim about one person. A claimed violation can lead to a court filing, parole hearing, warrant, reinstatement, or revocation. None of those outcomes should be inferred from a vague status label.
No official statewide public TDOC absconder list or separate parole-warrant search was found. FOIL is not a warrant-clearing service, and “Inactive” does not mean “no warrant.” Contact District 31 for the supervision status and the court or agency that may hold the warrant. Warren County’s Circuit Court Clerk maintains court records, while local rules place probation violations and early-release motions on a Warren County calendar. The calendar is only a lead; the entered order controls.
VINE can relay a participating agency’s later custody event, but it is not a supervision docket. A no-result cannot establish discharge, compliance, or the absence of a warrant.
Warren County Release Resource Access
TDOC Community Resource Centers are not limited to people who are still on parole or probation. TDOC states that the centers also serve people released after sentence expiration. A supervision client can seek an officer referral, while an eligible person may contact a center directly. This makes the Community Resource Center directory a distinct post-release channel when a supervision office is not the right entry point.
Centers may connect people with state correctional reentry resources. The source does not establish a center inside Warren County or promise a specific service at a given time. Check the current directory, contact the listed center, and ask what documentation or referral is needed. District 31 remains the local authority for an active Warren County parole or felony-probation assignment.

Warren County State Release Documents
TDOC has a published state-prison release procedure for identity papers and personal items. Policy 511.03 calls for help obtaining a Social Security card, birth certificate, driver license, or state identification-only license, with those papers held for release day. The policy also addresses suitable release clothing and payment of trust-account funds. These duties belong to TDOC’s state release process and must not be attributed to Warren County Jail.
A detainer changes the handling. When TDOC releases a person to another agency, the event can end state custody at one level while another confinement begins. Property, funds, documents, destination, and reporting terms should therefore be checked against the specific TDOC release procedure and the executed movement record. A “released” state status should never be rewritten as community release when the receiving agency field says otherwise.
Warren County Supervision Discharge
Supervision ends through an official discharge or other final action, not merely because a person stops appearing on a roster. FOIL may show Inactive, no active sentence, and completed date fields. Together those facts support that TDOC custody or supervision is no longer active, but the actual discharge record remains the best source for the legal end date and basis. TDOC archived records can provide release movement, discharge material, and sentence documents when the public detail is not enough.
Board records establish parole decisions. Court records establish probation judgments and later orders. TDOC establishes its felony supervision and discharge. Warren County Jail establishes the local custody exit. Keeping those records separate prevents a parole grant from being mistaken for release, a county transfer from being called freedom, or an inactive state result from being used to declare every local duty complete.
